Fathers, Sell Your Daughters
Until gay marriage is legalized in Illinois, marriage will continue to just be sugar-coated human trafficking. If you think that sounds crazy, go read up on the history of marriage. Seriously, if you aren't pro-gay marriage it means you are either pro-prostitution or just really really really dumb.
Two of Eric's friends just got married and had a baby. I knew the guy before he even started dating her. He is not in love with her. He's in love with the *idea* of her. A party boy going for a conservative Christian girl? Trust me, I knew him and he's only with her because he thinks she'll help him change his ways, or because he needs an outside reason to change. And she's a stupid romantic who probably believes in true love. LOL!
Who the fuck is stupid enough to get pregnant in college? Seriously, there are many many forms of birth control out there, and let me remind you that 50% of all sexually active people will contract an STD in their lifetime. If your religion forbids birth control, you should be shot in the face.
It's possible that the pregnancy is the reason they got married, which would be really funny because shes a Christian. A Christian who can't figure out how to use birth control. It really isn't fair to the child, to be raised by such fuck-ups. That baby either needs to be put up for adoption or aborted. It's just not right. I'm not even going to get into the overpopulation problem we face.
It's ok to keep a baby that's a mistake. IF YOU ARE FINANCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY CAPABLE OF TAKING CARE OF A CHILD. Which no college students are. So, I'm calling it now: 5 years from now he'll be drinking away his paychecks, and she'll have one night stands with sperm banks. 10 years from now he'll be in AA realizing his sperm ruined his life, and she'll be a single mother living on welfare that comes from my tax dollars.

Quote-Unquote
"If you don't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?"
---RuPaul
I always was annoyed when people would put stupid little "inspirational" quotes up in their house. But I think I'm going to write this on my mirror (with lipstick, of course). I always used to think loving yourself was arrogant and that if you didn't hate yourself, you'd never try to be a better person. But I've done the self-hatred thing for so many years now, and I think it could be the reason why I'm so easily annoyed and so quick to see the flaws in people and to point them out. I'm sick of hurting myself and I'm sick of pushing people away.
On a less somber note, RuPaul has said some other great stuff too:
"We all came into this world naked. The rest is all drag."
"Look at me--a big old black man under all of this makeup, and if I can look beautiful, so can you." (I actually don't think RuPaul is all that bad looking without makeup, though)
"All sins are forgiven once you start making a lot of money."

The Personal Printing Press
aka The Typewriter.
I'm working on a script with Josh. A horror movie inspired by the song "Puttin' on the Ritz". It involves a zombie greaser and a girl with a Fred Astaire obsession. In context, it really isn't that random. But there is no way I'm giving away the plot or the ending.
So, I seriously thought I was the only one who thought that song was creepy (because, you know, it's not a song people talk about a lot). But Josh agreed with me that it had a certain dark quality that was most potent in the Fred Astaire and Taco versions. We worked out an outline, and I can tell you, this is definitely a 50/50 job. We were going to just get high and vandalize shit, but this is cooler because it can lead to money and groupies. Because writers get groupies, right?

House of Dolls
I was reading some sort of feminist blog that was saying that the TV series "Dollhouse" is horrible because it encourages rape and the whole premise of the show is that women are objects. As a feminist and as a rational human being, I disagree.
Firstly, the blog/website said that Sierra getting raped encouraged rape or something silly. I actually think it did the opposite. In the episode where Sierra gets raped by her handler (when she's in her doll-like state) she never says "no" because she can't. When his boss finds out about it, she has Sierra's handler killed. I mean, the episode basically was based on the premise that "just because a someone doesn't say no, doesn't mean they are saying yes". Which I think is a very good message, or at least an accurate one.
Secondly, a lot of the dolls in "Dollhouse" are men. And they get programmed to do the exact same kinds of things the female dolls are. For example Victor is programmed for some lady named Lonelyheart. Dollhouse is not about women, it's about people. I think that a big part of being a feminist is getting a life. Which these nut-jobs don't do.
Which leads me to my conclusion: I have yet to read a feminist blog online that makes any sense whatsoever. Also, it's 2am and I have nothing better to do than post my rants online defending my favorite TV shows.
HOWEVER, on an unrelated note, Eliza Dushku is extremely hot, but I want to make her eat a whole birthday cake, because I think she would be 10x more attractive if she would gain 5lbs. (and that's not the feminist in me talking, that's the horny half-dyke in me talking) -
"Only in Cases of Rape and Incest"
Isn't it amazing how there are people who are against rape EVEN in cases of rape and incest? I honestly think Bill Hicks put it best: "The abortion issue really divides my friends, half of them think the pro life movement is full of annoying idiots, the other half think it's full of religious fucks...can't we all just get along and agree that they're annoying religious idiot fucks?"
Sense Roe V. Wade over 400 death threats have been made against doctors working in abortion clinics, and over 600 bomb threats have been made to clinics
in countries where abortion is illegal, it remains a leading cause of maternal death. An estimated 68,000 women worldwide die each year from unsafe abortions.
less than 0.5% [of woman who have had abortions] have serious complications that require some additional surgical procedure and/or hospitalization
The American Psychological Association has concluded that there is no scientifically valid support or evidence for the so-called "post-abortion syndrome" of psychological trauma or deep depression.
Children born to teenage mothers are more likely than children of older mothers to suffer significant disadvantages: medical, psychological, economic, and educational.
13% of abortion patients describe themselves as born-again or Evangelical Christians
27% of abortion patients say they are Catholics.
Most abortions (88%) are obtained in the first trimester of pregnancy. In fact, over half of all abortions are obtained within the first 8 weeks. Fewer than 2% occur at 21 weeks or later
half of all women getting abortions report that contraception was used during the month they became pregnant.
(This is why we need comprehensive sex ed, because not knowing how to properly use birth control leads to pregnancies )
Unintended pregnancies account for almost half of all pregnancies.
Women who have never used any method of birth control account for 8% of all abortions.
1 in 6 women and 1 in 33 men will be a victim of sexual assault in their lifetime.
60% of sexual assaults are not reported to the police.
Only 6% of rapists will ever spend a day in jail.
7% of girls in grades 5-8 and 12% of girls in grades 9-12 said they had been sexually abused
